This is AMAZING. I don't always like reading Tony/Pepper, but this is so compelling and natural and so THEM that it is not just bearable, but glorious.

Wow. This is just... wow. I love how their relationship is adult here, and has up and downs, and is so sexy and thoughtful and full of bits of humor. Wonderful, wonderful job.

Lovely fic. Of course Pepper would have a list like that, and for the sex to happen off-list, as it were, would totally throw her. I loved that that was the beginning of the story, the choices you made about how to tell it and that there's hopefulness and realism about their problems. Great characterisation of both.

I absolutely adored this. Everything about it just fits the characters so well, and I love that they simply love each other, the best way they know how. Nice one, I'm saving this to read again

I love the part where he just goes to her to feel some human contact. That is a great, and telling, character moment. Great story.

came from a rec by kyuuketsukirui. OMG, this is gorgeous! Your first fic, you said? My god, you have hit it out of the park!

I love love love your Pepper - her voice, her insecurities. I love how you've made *both* of them grow through the relationship - we all know Tony has his flaws and needs some growth, but Pepper! lovely, competent Pepper! - she's growing and changing too and I love how you handled it!

What a lovely and real story this is. Because yes, how could Pepper - smart, insightful Pepper - not know just what risks she'd be taking to say "yes" to Tony, and yet, how could Pepper not say "yes" when Tony (silently maybe?) keeps saying yes to her, over and over again.

(btw...I'll be adding this to my multi-fandom recs page when I next update)

Amazing. This is one of the most realistic IM fics I've read.

It’s fully night now, that strange time when families are asleep and couples her age are going out for drinks with friends. The time she usually packs up to head home, that always reminds her that she belongs nowhere, really, except for this house, seemingly smaller now that she can’t see the waves outside.

I adore this line. You totally sum up Pepper and how much she needs Tony.

Wow! I just found this through Beth H's recs site.

I love their voices in this and you do fantastic things with their body language and inner landscapes:

He comes to her when she’s sitting on the couch, making one in a series of endless phone calls, keeping Stark Industries tied together with a lot of “Yes, sir”s and forced jocularity, boys’ club lingo made unassuming with a woman’s voice. And like a dog who doesn’t like divided attention, or a sick child looking for comfort, he kneels in front of her, pushes her shoulders back into the couch cushions, lifts up her blouse and rests his head on her stomach.

I love that you kicked all this off with the keys-scene, because, in a completely weird way, these two are so very married.

Dear god, I loved this. I loved it so much. It was so perfect, so in character, so THEM.

There was so much being said (and not being said at times) that you really were drawn into the story and even little things like this:
“Good morning, Mr. Stark,” she says as she passes by on her way to the kitchen.

He hops up and trails after her. “I took the suit out last night. Saved twelve people,” he says.

made me think that this was actually happening on a movie screen nearby.

I would say more but this kind of fried my brain. In short, I LOVED IT.

This was absolutely perfect. I swear, the end...the post-it...was so incredibly, simply beautiful. I'm saving this into a PDF and putting it on my iPod, so on the days that I have no faith in a relationship and wonder what's up with the world, I can read this.

I'm pretty sure I've read this a million times, but I LOVE IT. I have to say it again. I LOVE IT.
